I came here first in 1990, fell in love with this abandoned valley hidden in the hills between Assisi and Gubbio, and set about making it home for my family. I dedicated my adult life to family and building our life here, bringing up the children, cultivating the land and restoring the farmhouse to some semblance of its former glory.

But life moves on; we suffered a painful family breakup and I was left here alone and no longer knowing what to do with my life. But then, in an unbelievable stroke of luck, I met Lucia, and ever since we have worked together to bring this place to it’s full potential. It gives us great satisfaction now to be able to share the simple beauty and silent tranquility of this place with all the lovely people we have now met over the years.
